Noemi is an AMI (Association Montessori Internationale) certified Primary (2.5 – 6 years) teacher, and was formerly a Lead Teacher at an Atlanta metropolitan area Montessori school. She has also been an assistant teacher in metro Atlanta AMI recognized Montessori Primary and Toddler classrooms.
Prior to her work in Montessori education, Noemi was an orchestra teacher in public and private schools for many years, teaching 4th – 12th grade children. She also performed professionally in many regional orchestras in Iowa, Illinois, Texas, Georgia, and Florida, and taught private music lessons in her home.
Originally from Davenport, IA, Noemi earned a BA in Music Performance from Augustana College in Rock Island, IL, where she met her husband, Todd. After working as a private lesson teacher in the Dallas, TX metropolitan area school systems for two years, she eventually earned her MME (Masters in Music Education) from Valdosta State University, in Valdosta, GA.
Noemi and Todd currently live with their two dogs in Johns Creek, GA, and are active foster parents for the Fulton County DFCS. They have fostered 7 children between the ages of 3 weeks and 5 years, and plan on continuing fostering children in need in the state of Georgia, and potentially adopting. They currently are fostering a 3 year old boy, Judah, who is an important part of the home daycare community.
